    Tour Summary

    Day 1 - Depart USA
    Overnight flight to Madrid.

    Day 2 - Arrive Madrid (2 nights)
    Welcome to the Spanish capital, Madrid! Later, meet your Tour Director for a Welcome Drink and tour briefing with your fellow travellers.

    Day 3 - Toledo Excursion and Madrid Sightseeing
    This morning cross the plains of La Mancha as you drive to Toledo, the old capital of Spain. Here your walking tour with a local expert includes a visit to the Synagogue, the Church of Santo Tomé and a local steel workshop. Then return to Madrid where your sightseeing tour along the wide tree-lined avenues shows you the Cervantes Memorial in the Plaza de España, the Puerta del Sol and the magnificent Plaza Mayor. (Buffet Breakfast)

    Day 4 - Madrid – Cordoba – Seville (2 nights)
    First to Puerto Lapice of legendary Don Quixote fame, then pass the Sierra Morena mountain range before entering Andalucia and continuing to Cordoba where you visit the Mosque of the Caliphs and learn about Moorish influence. Then continue to your hotel in Seville. Tonight, why not experience a little Spanish passion at a fiery Flamenco show. (Buffet Breakfast)

    Day 5 - Seville sightseeing and at leisure
    Your sightseeing tour takes you through the tree-lined streets of Seville to see the Bell Tower and weather vane of the Giralda. You will also see the pools and fountains of the Maria Luisa Park and Christopher Columbus’ tomb, which lies in the magnificent Gothic Cathedral. Your walk continues through the Jewish quarter of the city. Tonight enjoy a 'Be My Guest' dinner in an authentic hacienda. (Buffet Breakfast / Be My Guest dinner)

    Day 6 - Seville – Granada
    A scenic drive takes you to Granada to enjoy a guided sightseeing tour including one of the most important sights in Spain, the Alhambra Palace. Your expert guided tour of this classic example of Moorish architecture shows you the exotic water gardens of the Generalife and the royal summer residence. Take in fine views over the town and the surrounding hills. Tonight, dine in your hotel. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

    Day 7 - Granada – Valencia
    The Troglodyte dwellings of Guadix await you this morning after a drive via the Mora Pass. Time to take pictures before crossing the rich and fertile region of Murcia. Then enter the Valencia region which was a kingdom in its own right after being reconquered from the Moors in 1238. Continue to the city of Valencia which is renowned for its orange groves. Orientation shows you the Bull Ring, the Great Cathedral and the Towers of Serrano and Cuarte Towers. (Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

    Day 8 - Valencia – Barcelona (2 nights)
    First through the Levant region to Peñiscola for the first stop of the day. Then enter the region of Catalonia and its capital, Barcelona, where on arrival you will enjoy a sightseeing tour highlighting the fantasies of Gaudi. The Ramblas, Plaza Catalunya and a walk through the Gothic quarter with its magnificent Cathedral are also included as part of your orientation tour. (Buffet Breakfast)

    Day 9 - Barcelona at leisure
    Today is a relaxing day at leisure to explore this fascinating city or to have a drink in one of the many open air cafés. Shop in the chic boutiques along the Avinguda Diagonal or take an excursion to Montserrat. This mountain formation inspired the works of Gaudi and contains the Black Madonna. This evening enjoy a special Farewell Dinner with wine together with your Tour Director and new-found friends. (Buffet Breakfast / Farewell Dinner)

    Day 10 - Barcelona – USA
    Time for final goodbyes to your fellow travelers as your tour comes to an end. Transfers are available. Conditions apply. Alternatively, there is a free transfer back to Madrid, arriving around 6pm, at no extra charge. (Buffet Breakfast)
